Couples Therapy

Helping couples reconnect, rebuild trust, and communicate effectively

All relationships go through difficult periods. Whether you’re stuck in conflict, feeling disconnected, or rebuilding after a betrayal, couples therapy offers a supportive space to understand one another and create meaningful change.

As an experienced CBT therapist with training in attachment-based approaches, I support couples to understand the patterns that have developed in their relationship and how early experiences might be playing out now.

We often focus on improving communication, emotional understanding, and managing intense feelings such as anxiety, anger, or fear of abandonment. Couples therapy can also help when one or both partners is experiencing depression or stress, including around major life transitions such as parenting or bereavement.

  • Rebuilding trust and intimacy after betrayal

  • Managing conflict and improving communication

  • Navigating life transitions (e.g. becoming parents)

  • Creating a more secure, connected relationship

Together we can work on

I offer a warm, neutral and structured space where both partners feel heard and understood. Whether you’re hoping to repair, grow or simply better understand each other, I’m here to support you.

What is CBT for Couples?

CBT for couples focuses on how negative interaction cycles and unhelpful beliefs can lead to emotional distance, arguments, or misunderstandings. You’ll learn how to:

  • Identify patterns that maintain conflict or emotional disconnect

  • Communicate more clearly and empathically

  • Understand and respond to each other’s emotional needs

  • Manage feelings of stress, anxiety, or depression together

  • Rebuild safety, trust, and intimacy

The goal is not to “fix” either partner but to improve the relationship as a whole—helping you both feel more connected, secure, and understood.

Couples Come to Therapy When They:

Feel emotionally disconnected or distant

  • Experience frequent arguments or tension

  • Are struggling to rebuild trust after infidelity or betrayal

  • Find it hard to express needs or handle conflict constructively

  • Are affected by external pressures (e.g. parenting, bereavement, work stress)

  • Want to improve intimacy, communication or long-term relationship health

You may be unsure whether you want to stay together or need support in navigating that decision. Whatever your situation, couples therapy offers a safe space to explore, reflect, and decide how you wish to move forward.
